Route 66 Lens
Meta glasses test walkthrough
Four steps: pair the glasses, approve camera access, take one still, and hear the story. Every step reports live status, so you always know which link in the chain failed.
Pair your Meta glasses
Open the Meta AI app, confirm the glasses are connected to this phone, then tap Connect below. In the browser the native bridge isn’t present — use the capture endpoint or the test camera further down.
Checking for the glasses bridge…
Authorize camera access
Meta shows an approval sheet the first time Route 66 Radio asks for the glasses camera. Approve it once; the state below flips to Connected.

Take one capture
Either tap the glasses capture button (native build), or post a real frame from the glasses bridge to the web capture endpoint using the pairing code below. The result lands on this page automatically.
Web capture endpoint
Open a pairing code, then have the glasses bridge POST a JPEG to /api/public/lens/capture. Codes expire after two hours.
Hear the story
The result card appears below and the narration plays through the glasses when they’re connected, otherwise through the phone.
