How stations appear on Route 66
Route 66 is a directory and discovery hub, not a rebroadcaster. Station listings come from the open, community-maintained Radio Browser catalog, where stations publish their own stream URLs for exactly this purpose. Audio is played by the listener's device directly from each station's own public stream server — we never copy, proxy, re-encode, cache, or record station audio.
Each listing links back to the station's own website.
Station owner and want changes or removal? Use our support form and choose Content correction or takedown, or tap Request takedown on any station page in the app. Verified requests are honored promptly — removal is immediate and the stream is health-checked out of rotation.
Route 66 has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Reports are reviewed by the moderation team within 24 hours.
